Support group for parents of children, young people and adults with ASD. Meets every 2nd Friday of the month, Failte Centre, Bayhead, 10am-12pm.

Neuro Hebrides

Small charity supporting people with neurological conditions in the Outer Hebrides. Friendly, supportive community offering regular meetings and activities tailored for those living with neurological conditions. Runs programmes of massage therapy and counselling. Campaigns on behalf of members and works with NHS Primary Care, Health Improvement Scotland, Neurological Alliance of Scotland, The Alliance, Digital Citizen Panel, SCVO and Climate Hebrides. Over 18. Referrals: self, GP, AHP. Run by Charity Coordinator, trustees and volunteers.

Western Isles Cancer Care Initiative (WICCI)

All ages. Referrals: GP, Macmillan Nurse, Self Referral. Local cancer charity in partnership with Macmillan covering the whole Western Isles. Services: Social Fund Grants (up to £500/year for individuals affected by cancer — basic living expenses, travel costs over and above Patient Travel, specialist equipment), Support Groups, Complementary Therapies (to help with side effects of treatment), Wig Fitting, Counselling. Provides support for anyone going through a cancer journey including family members. Mon-Fri 9-5.
