NHS Western Isles Occupational Therapy service — an integrated (joint) Health and Local Authority service. Practical support to help people overcome barriers to everyday activities and maintain independence. Services include adaptations and rehabilitation, children’s OT, the Community Equipment Service, mental health OT, primary care OT, rheumatology and hand therapy, the Short Term Assessment and Reablement Team (START), and stroke and neurology. Stornoway base covers Lewis & Harris; Balivanich base covers Uist, Benbecula & Barra (both in Western Isles Council offices). Self-referral available via the website.
